Deviant DOCK : Enhance your desktop experience by launching items of interest from a customizable dock, as well as a central dial with the help of this application
There is quite the variety of customization Windows alone puts at your disposal, and this ranges from themes to the way you launch items of interest. Needless to say that there are also various third-party programs you can use to enhance your experience with applications like Deviant DOCK.
Brings up a dial and dock
The application saves you the time and effort required to go through a setup process, which means you can see what it’s all about right after the download session. Moreover, it can easily be stored on a thumb drive in case you want to run it on more computers, but the target PC needs to be fitted with .NET Framework.Right from the start, the application brings up a couple of panes, which are already configured with several programs. This gives you an example of functionality, but you’re able to make changes to shortcuts on the spot. Unfortunately, you need to keep up both panes, which can be a little uncomfortable.
Easily configure shortcuts to launch
Each panel shows a custom set of icons, and you can change them accordingly. Panels are fitted with some system locations by default, such as the Computer, Internet Explorer, File Explorer, and more. The central dial can hold a maximum of 8 items, while the dock can be fully customized with icons and parameters. There are multiple skins at your disposal to make the dial and dock suit your style. Sadly, you can’t adjust the size of shortcut pads, and you can’t even move the central dial. However, it’s possible to adjust the dock, in terms of desktop position.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Deviant DOCK is fitted with some cool visual elements, but customization is not the strongest point. On the bright side of things, you can easily customize items which can be launched, but it could have used a bit more flexibility when it comes to dock configuration.
