Beagle Screensaver : Beautify the screen with a fluffy and adorable Beagle dogs images, which comes accompanied by a soothing background music, and transition effects
Dogs have always been used by humans since ancient times and proved to be quite useful hence being the person's best friend. Beagle breed is preferred by people in hunting sessions, compared with other breeds, as they prove to be excellent at detecting the prey.
An extensive collection of heart-warming cute dogs
If you like Beagles, but you can't afford to raise one, you can opt for a beautiful screensaver, such as Beagle Screensaver. The installation requires a few clicks and needs to be run in Administrator mode. It doesn't require any additional components, like other similar tools, need. However, when it comes to accessing and testing it, the process is a bit difficult.
Missing desktop icon makes it hard to view the screensaver
As there is no icon added to the desktop nor the main menu, the only option to see and start the screensaver is through the Windows configuration panel. It's recommended to create a shortcut for the pane directly on the screen, to have easy access to the screensavers. To view how the screensaver looks, you can hit the "Preview" button, while from the settings, you can set its properties.
Approachable and clean layout
The interface is old yet user-friendly, consisting of two separate tabs, the settings and effects. Sadly, there is no choice to add new images to the provided one, nor another method to view the picture compilation besides previewing it. The first pane comes neatly structured in image, sound, MIDI, and MP3 sections.
Configure the effects transition and pictures speed
You can change the photo transition pause, expressed in seconds, the position, and display captions in different locations on the monitor (e.g. top, middle, left). Unfortunately, you can't set a custom text to be shown, nor music to be played.Items may be shuffled into a random order, while the transition speed set to a distinct value. Plus, the app lets you choose the background color, as well as pick what transition effects should be used for the current session. The sound can be muted, while the music shuffled and cycled only once.
In conclusion
The bottom line is that Beagle Screensaver is a nice selection of Beagle dogs that beautifies your monitor while offering a relaxing and warm feeling. Despite all the provided options, the lack of essential functions, like resolution, preview, and digital clock leaves much to be desired.
