Overview

What is AnyMenu?

AnyMenu : Add a context menu to the middle mouse button with options to create menus and submenus with links to folders or files, thanks to this practical app

In depth

A closer look at AnyMenu

Just like the keyboard can be configured to help perform activities faster, so can the mouse customized in order to use all of its buttons to their full potential. By default, the right button is already fitted by windows with advanced operations, but AnyMenu gives you the possibility to access personal stuff through the middle button.

Create a middle mouse button context menu

Right after the application is installed, it automatically gets minimized to the system tray, but there’s a balloon popup to inform you in this regard. You can go ahead and press the middle mouse button anywhere you want, even in active applications, if it’s not already configured, in order to bring up the sample menu.By default, a context menu like panel shows up, with several Windows features for sample entries, such as Paint. Notepad, or specific disk drives. However, it can also take you to the application’s settings panel so you can customize menus and hotkeys to trigger it.

Add folders, files and create complex structures

Adding new menus is a simple task. First, you need to select the general category, after which you need to decide whether you want to link a folder or file. However, if you select a folder, it opens up File Explorer instead of creating corresponding sub menu elements for files inside. This doesn’t mean it’s not possible to create sub menus. Once this is done, they’re stored in a corresponding drop-down menu to make it easier in the selection process. What’s more, you can set the menu to trigger on different key combinations other than the middle mouse button, but you only get to choose from a few presents, with no option to add custom ones.

To end with

we come to the conclusion that AnyMenu is a lightweight, practical application you can use to keep your desktop cleaner, by letting you create a custom launcher for folders or files, and linking it to a button with no utility on the desktop by default. Chances are saved in real time, and is sure to make your time worth the effort.
