Even though computers make writing easier and faster, it can be a pain when having to manually write down common strings too often. Luckily, applications such as FlashPaste Lite give you the possibility to create custom forms that can be inserted anywhere in the blink of an eye.

Lightweight and easy to use

The main window of the application represents a list where text strings are displayed. Several presets are available so you get an idea of the functionality. You are able to modify the existing entries or add your own to better suit any requirements.Closing the main window only minimizes it to the system tray. Integrated hotkey support gives you the possibility to easily insert needed strings in any document. These can be customized, and whenever the correct combination of buttons is pressed, a small selection screen appears with all available strings.

Limited string database management options

Browsing through the file menu reveal a “Save database” option. Unfortunately, it is only available for the current set of strings. There is no implemented function that allows you to better arrange your lists in databases for different activity domains.This would have been useful, because if you create too many strings, instead of saving time and quickly paste desired text you need to look for the appropriate entry. Luckily, a hotkey allows you to insert the last used string without bringing up the list.
