Resolution Master is a very simple-to-use software application which enables you to specify a monitor resolution that the PC automatically switches to at startup. It doesn't integrate complicated options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users.

Simple setup and systray accessibility

The installation procedure doesn't take a long time to finish. However, you should be careful at the end of setup, since Resolution Master offers to restart the computer to apply the new changes.This action can be postponed, though, in case you want to save any unfinished work. Once launched, the app creates an in the system tray area and sits there silently, so it doesn't interrupt your regular PC activities.

Set the preferred resolution properties

You can open the tray icon's right-click menu to bring up the configuration panel and select the preferred screen solution, bits per pixel, and display frequency.Resolution Master offers several predefined profiles in this regard. Unfortunately, it doesn't integrate options for entering custom settings or for creating multiple profiles with different settings and quickly selecting them from the right-click menu.

Evaluation and conclusion

There were no stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the software utility didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It had low impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and memory.On the other hand, Resolution Master doesn't come equipped with richer options and configuration settings. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself, since it's free.
