Speckie is designed to offer you a dedicated, real-time spelling checker.It’s easy to install and offers the same kind of auto correct feature found in Microsoft Word and applies it to your browser. Considering there is a high chance you use IE more than MS Word, it’s easy to see why this is a helpful tool to have around.Speckie does its job in real-time, meaning that it will display a visible mark when a word is wrongly spelled. You can then retype the word or simply right-click it and open a list of correction suggestions that are made available from its built-in dictionary.Apart from adding two options in the IE right-click context menu, Speckie doesn’t display any other visible elements in the browser’s interface. The two available options enable you to toggle the add-in on or off and access application settings.From Speckie’s settings section you can enable spell check in single or multi line edit fields and set the maximum number of suggestions per dictionary. You can also have multiple dictionaries active at the same time in case you need to write in more than one language.If Speckie suggests that a word is wrongly spelled, but you know for a fact that it is correct, you can add it to the the appropriate dictionary and it will be ignored later on. Accessing the settings section, you can remove it at any time.To sum it up, there is actually no reason for you to not have Speckie installed.
