UAE-Radio is a lightweight audio application whose sole purpose is to help you listen to online radio stations from the United Arab Emirates directly from the comfort of your desktop. The utility can be run on all Windows platforms out there.

Simple looks

The GUI looks minimalistic and easy to work with. All configurations settings are embedded in a single working environment, so they are basically placed at your fingertips.There’s no support for a help manual but you don’t need one to decode the program’s features as they are highly intuitive.

How it works

UAE-Radio provides a list with the online radio stations that you can connect to. You are given the freedom to stream the selected channel, adjust the volume or mute it, as well as show or hide a visualization panel (waveform) in the GUI.On the downside, you are not allowed to build up a list with your favorite online radio stations, perform searches for quickly identifying a channel in the list, input a user-defined URL for streaming sound from other online sources, and record the audio streams to WAV file format and save them on your computer.We have tested the utility on Windows 8.1 Pro and come across some bugs. UAE-Radio is not able to connect to all of the stations included in the main window. It remains light on the system resources all the time, so your computer’s performance is not hampered.

To sum things up, UAE-Radio integrates a basic suite of features for helping you access popular radio stations from the United Arab Emirates. The intuitive set of options makes it suitable for less experienced users but it’s hard to believe this tool will become one of the favorite programs of professionals because it lacks many advanced functions.
