3-Factor Equilibrium Interest Rate Generator in ExcelThis is a 3-factor interest rate generator in Excel. Just put in the current yield curve and click the button to get a set of interest rate scenarios. It will calculate up to 200 scenarios. The scenarios are NOT arbitrage-free. It also includes a random number generator that puts all normalized random numbers on one sheet.I have erased all of the random numbers to keep the file small. The first time you try to use this model you will need to create a new set of random numbers. Just click a button to generate a new set.When using the model to generate new scenarios put in today's yield curve. When using the model for comparison purposes to historical rates then you must use mean historical rates for the 1yr rate and 20yr rate instead of the current yield curve. If you use mean rates then the output of this model can be compared to historical rates. If you put in a low/high (as compared to the mean) yield curve then the output will be skewed to lower/higher rates. Yes, this does make sense, but the results will not compare favorably to historical rates. This model was originally developed by the American Academy of Actuaries. It is not copyrighted. I have modified the VBA code to make it more modular. I also added the random number section.
