MZCacheView is a lightweight and portable piece of kit that, as the name implies, lets you view all files stored in Mozilla Firefox.Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply drop the executable file on any location on the hard drive and run it.Otherwise, you can save the app to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. This way, you can keep MZCacheView with you whenever you're on the move.More importantly, the Windows Registry section does not receive new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after removing the app.The utility is wrapped in a standard interface with an uncomplicated layou; it is not impressive when it comes to its appearance, but at least it's easy to navigate.Upon deployment, a list of all cache files contained by Firefox is automatically displayed; you can view the name, type, URL and size for each item. But you can also select another cache location and filter files by time range, as well as copy the selected items to another directory.Other options of the application let you open a link in the default web browser, use a search function when dealing with large amounts of data, create an HTML report from all files, mark missing cache files, as well as add a header line to a CSV file, to name but a few.It is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory, so it does not burden the computer's performance.
