Some applications and drivers need to meet certain standards to be distributed and used on the market. These are mostly granted by ETSI or European Telecommunications Standards Institute. In this concern, DigiDoc Client was designed to give you the possibility to verify and digitally sign files according to previously mentioned standards.

A simple and intuitive interface

In terms of visual aspect, the application poses no accommodation problems whatsoever, with a simple, intuitive design. An upper toolbar is home to all available functions, while the rest of the window is split into two sections of which one displays imported files and the other lets you view signatures.

Helpful info when signing files

The overall process is easily done, with a guided step-by-step procedure. Files are imported through the dedicated menu or having them dragged over the main window. Hitting the “Sign” button takes you through a series of steps where you need to connect a valid ID-card in order to sign files or offered help on how to obtain such a card.

Use encryption for certification

In addition, the application also comes with an encryption utility to enhance digital signatures. This brings up a new window with several possibilities to load the certificate you want encrypted. You can issue a LDAP search on a preset service, load one from an ID-card or from a file, in case it's stored on your hard disk drive. Also, you can use the application to remove signatures from files. When your work is done, items can be saved as a whole container under the DDOC format, or sent by email if circumstances require it.
