PINs : Powerful and user-friendly application that allows you to safely secure information and keep track of all your accounts and passwords
PINs is a very simple-to-use application that enables you to store multipurpose passwords in a secure environment, whether we are talking about email accounts, PIN numbers, or others.
Support for master password
The interface does not contain any attractive visual elements but it is easy to navigate. For each new file with the PINS format you can set up a master password, meaning that the application can be accessed by multiple users who share a machine. The program runs in the system tray and in order to access its main panel you need to enter the correct master password.
Give info about the entries added in the database
Adding a new record to the database requires you to assign a category and write down information regarding the system, user, password, URL or comment, note, start and expiration date.
Extra features to play with
It is possible to delete or duplicate records, copy a user name or password to the Clipboard, lock the database, generate a random password, edit the master password, view a character map, configure global hotkeys, as well as use a search function to locate expired passwords.Plus, you can export the database to plain text format, change the UI language, customize columns, as well as disable sounds, among others.
Performance and final thought
We have noticed a minimal CPU and RAM consumption during the tool's runtime. It has a good reaction speed and doesn't cause newer operating systems to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs, although it has not been updated for a long time. All in all, PINs should please all types of users.
