The schematic capture component features a flat and simple or complex hierarchical design, complete design rule checking capability, PCB netlist generation in all popular formats, EDIF and VHDL netlist generation (for simulation), PLD (Programmable Logic Device) support, and the ability to generate Autocad DXF and Windows EMF files, and import all Orcad schematic designs and libraries.

The PCB Layout component includes a large PCB library with over 10,000 PCB parts; a specialized creation template for each class of PCB parts; interactive signal data input; automatic signal data input; interactive and automatic placement of elements and wire routing; the ability to use from 1 to 6 signal layers; through-hole and SMT component support; the ability to mount elements on both sides of the board; and support for both Imperial and Metric measuring systems, as well as all popular photo plotters (including Gerber) and numerically-controlled drill machines (including Excelon).
