Math Helper : Perform calculations and solve a number of mathematical and engineering equations, with the help of this lightweight application
While simple calculations are easy enough to perform using the built-in Windows calculator, advanced operations require a slightly more complex utility.Math Helper is a useful program that enables you to perform a broad range of complex operations, such as calculating areas, volumes and perimeters, as well as finding the length of the third side of a right triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem.
Features an unimpressive UI that could use more work
Once you launch the program, you will find that the built-in calculators are fairly easy to access, as convenient shortcuts are available in the main window. These are organized into categories based on their purpose. Each calculator is opened in a new window, in the upper-left corner of the screen. We found their positioning to be a bit inconvenient, though other users may not find this to be a problem. However, it is not possible to move the calculators without resizing them on Windows 10, although there were no such issues when we tested the program on Windows 8.1.
Handy utility that supports several mathematical formulas
The application is capable of calculating the volume of a box, prism, sphere, cone or cylinder, as well as calculating the area and perimeter of a circle, rectangle, triangle, trapezoid or parallelogram. Moreover, Math Helper enables you to find the length of the side of a right triangle using the Pythagorean theorem. In order to perform the calculation, you only need to enter the two values you already know.
Simple calculation utility that still needs polish
On the whole, this application can come in handy if you wish to calculate areas, volumes and perimeters, or if you make use of the Pythagorean theorem on a regular basis. It can save you the trouble of having to perform these operations manually, but it needs to be improved in certain respects. It is also worth noting that not all of the tools that are displayed in the main window are accessible at present, so we will have to wait for them to be implemented in a future release.
