YAC to Squeeze is a lightweight application that enables you to display Caller ID information on your Logitech Squeezebox music player without significant efforts.

Tricky setup

First of all, YAC must be closed; then the original YAC executable must be replaced by the one in this app's package.If you run the 64-bit version of YAC, you must use the "yac-x64.exe" file, but not before renaming it to "yac.exe." YAC must then be restarted and the "Yac2Squeeze.exe" and "YacLogViewer.exe" files must be placed into a separate folder. Registry entries must be modified according to the instruction manual.

The outcome

After following the instructions and setting up the app, YAC will notify the clients as usual if there's an incoming call. It then checks for a "RunProgram" registry entry, and if present, it runs the appropriate program and uses the Caller ID as a parameter.The Caller ID is the retrieved by "Yac2Squeeze.exe" and prompts your Squeezebox device to display it through the Logitech Media Server. You can also view a log of Caller IDs if you set the "LogViewer" registry.
