Index File Reader reads files indexed in SCUMM format. These files must be in .000, .HE0, .LA0, or 000.LFL format, if the application is able to recognize them in their specific folders.

Specialized designation

SCUMM index files are usually an archaic method of packaging special information and data. This form of packaging allows a third-party app to get access to random game resource files, like the directory of rooms, sounds, scripts, costumes, objects, and so on. Index File Reader users will be able to access objects in their directories by right-clicking on the overall list.
