Mosquito is a command-line utility designed to help users drive mosquitos away from their room. It generates high-frequency sounds that range from 16kHz to 20kHz.While most users prefer working with graphical interfaces for performing a simple task, some of them would rather drop a few lines in a Command Prompt dialog to get the job done easier and faster.Command-line programs are known to use less system resources, and frequently take up less space on the hard disk, as is the case of Mosquito.Installing the tool is not necessary. All you have to do is save the executable file to a custom directory on the hard drive and call the process from a Command Prompt dialog.It is also possible to move Mosquito to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine effortlessly and without prior installers.What's important to make a note of is that Mosquito does not add new entries to the Windows Registry, Start menu or any other part of the hard disk (which usually happens with installers), leaving the HDD clean after removal.There is not much to say about this app. It does not require any sort of configuration. All you have to do is wait until it becomes active, after which you will be able to hear the high-frequency sound we previously talked about. Since it's meant to drive away mosquitos, the high-pitched audio is irritating to people as well, so you should leave the room while Mosquito works.As expected, the tool minimally uses CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the computer's overall performance. It quickly becomes active and does not cause the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.Unfortunately, Mosquito has not been updated for a long time, and it is not supported by 64-bit system architecture. Otherwise, users should find the tool reliable in successfully repelling mosquitos.
