Astronomy Quiz : A minimalistic astronomy questionnaire that offers several test categories to breeze through, with queries about the solar system, NASA and the stars in the Universe
Astronomy has always been a mysterious and vast subject taught in elementary and high schools, as well as in specialized universities that study our beautiful and impressive system and Universe. It's always expanding while bringing new amazing facts about our Earth and the everything that surrounds us.
No installation needed to use the utility
Astronomy Quiz is a straightforward and accessible application that comes packed with three different quizzes to offer you an educational and interactive way to test your science knowledge. It's wrapped in a basic and outdated interface that displays three separate categories, followed by several representative images and a score button. There is no setup process involved, as the app comes in a small archive that includes all the necessary files to properly start. Make sure you have .NET Framework installed on the computer or updated, as it's required in order for the tool to run and operate smoothly.
Useful features that should've been part of the test
The first test contains a few questions about the solar system, giving you three answers to choose from. Unfortunately, the choice buttons are cut in half, which makes it hard to understand what it's written. Depending on the selected choice, a green or red mark is displayed, and a particular score is awarded. The other two categories are NASA programs and the Stars. Similar steps are applied here as well.In the score tab, you can view the correct and wrong answers, divided into three distinct fields. Despite its basic options, the utility leaves much to be desired, as the offered number of questions are too small, there is no context menu, no settings to configure and not a single explanation for the incorrect pick.
The bottom line
Taking everything into account, Astronomy Quiz is a dull and modest program that comes with a few queries you can go through but can prove to be a bit entertaining for its few functions. Since the app doesn't require any installation, it doesn't leave traces nor generates entries in the Windows Registry.
