It contains a rich dictionary, also fitted with examples, providing definitions, and translation in several languages.
Visual design, and supported languages
As far as visuals are concerned, all the application has to offer is found in a classic window frame, with a fair navigation space, and slim toolbar with main functions. For more comfort, the main window can be resized. Note that default settings keep the window on top of every other one, but this can be tweaked from the options menu.Language is also configured from the options menu. There’s a dedicated field to choose the interface language, but it’s also possible to choose preview, and full definition languages. The range of options include Dutch, English, French, German, and Russian. Additionally, you can choose to save history on close, and whether or not to show examples.
Detailed definitions, and examples
Initiating a search operation is done by simply writing a term of interest in the upper target field. If the history tracking option is enabled, you can easily expand the input field to browse through previous elements. Results are displayed instantly, with the possibility to filter results according to accuracy. The result can feel a little overwhelming, but details are easy to identify. Organized in expandable menus, examples are provided in all selected languages, with a rich set of examples in most cases as well. Although there’s no built-in option to export the whole results sheet, items can be copied to clipboard either from the context menu, or double-clicking.
A few last words
To sum it up, Gozoku is an impressive application which is sure to help you out learn, or fill in memory gaps when it comes to using other languages in your work. The design is simple, and intuitive, while the rich dictionary, variety of languages, and array of examples make it worth a try overall.
