Straightforward and intuitive interface

Artha is a compact and small utility that uses WordNet as main search database and displays detailed and accessible definitions, examples, synonyms and derivatives for the inputted word or phrase.The provided layout is self-explanatory and clean consisting of a single window divided into the query bar, explanation panel, and five distinct tabs offering synonyms, antonyms, derivatives, related to, and similar terms.

The process is simple, just enter the desired word and hit search. The tool takes a few seconds to load all the data and displays it using several colors to point out important facts. The term is in black, the part of speech in red and the examples are in blue. For each record, the app shows the familiarity, which is based on the polysemy count and can be disabled from the settings.From the options, you can hide the status icon, enable auto-launch on Windows startup, and set the global lookup hotkey. From the toolbar, it's possible to activate the advanced mode and the systray notification. It would've been a great addition if the tool let you export the current search in a TXT file for further use.
