One of them is Chef's Dream.It's a small software solution that helps you create and manage a complex cookbook on your computer. You can keep track of exact ingredients for your recipe.

Colorful but a bit confusing graphical interface

The application installs instantly and it comes with some features that you can check out. However, it sports a really clogged and complicated graphical interface, without any options of changing the layout.It would have been nice if it allowed you to create recipes in a seamless and fluent way. It comes with tips and instructions, but they won't do much to help.

Create recipes and track ingredients

You simply need to add some basic information on the dish that you're creating, like the title and yields of serving. You can pick from some dish types like appetizer, breakfast, crock pot, dessert, drink, entree, sandwich, sauce or side.It would have been nice if you could specify if the dish is originated from a certain country or culture. You can add a description to dishes and adjust the amount of ingredients. You can pick from multiple types of units, like cups, gallons, pinches, pints, ounces, tablespoon and many more.

Add pictures to your recipes

It lets you rate recipes and add pictures to your recipe entries. You can specify the time it requires for preparation, assembly, cook or sit.You can also specify in how many minutes after completion the dish is ready for eating. It also lets you add directions. It comes with a built-in equivalency chart, shopping list and mixing tool for creating new recipes.All in all, Chef's Dream is a small and neat application for creating recipes, but it would have been nice if it had some more features and a fluent graphical interface.
