The program is based around an interactive map of the world that can be zoomed in and out to street level, which allows users to check the locations of their coordinates are accurate. The application does not provide any coordinates, something which it seems it could in some way. Instead, users must provide their own coordinates and input them into the system.UTM Coordinate Converter displays clearly labeled text fields for users to input the coordinates they want to convert, there is no ambiguity as each format is clearly labelled. Formats also have different text fields depending on the coordinates, so users should have no trouble deciding where to enter their information. Once entered, the coordinates display the location on the map, as well as in every other format available.

A useful set of additional features, but there is room for improvement in the design

Several other features aside from the map and coordinates can be adjusted. Complete DATUM support is included with various different formats available, allowing users to switch between geographical reference points. The different DATUMs available provide slight alterations on map accuracy, so users can switch to whichever they prefer.The developer is eager to point out that the application might not always be 100% accurate, but has clearly gone to great lengths to make it as accurate as possible. A few improvements could be made on the features, more map variables and options would be welcome, such as textured maps or an aerial view map. The biggest lacking feature though is the inability to take coordinates from the interactive map.

The program provides users with a service that should solve most, but maybe not all, coordinate issues

With a user friendly design and a focus on clarity, the software provides a great deal to users. Since all formats are displayed, and, converting one particular style of coordinates produces results for all the others, the application is uncomplicated to operate. All in all, UTM Coordinate Converter is a useful tool that could be improved, but is still very reliable.
