Overview

What is Blindmap?

Blindmap : Have all your ideas or tasks enlisted in a tree view mode by building it in an intuitive process to enhance productivity in your projects

In depth

A closer look at Blindmap

A project has a lot more chances of successfully reach an end with a well-organized plan. This can be done in quite the variety of ways, and there are tons of specialized applications like Blindmap to help out. You can not only enlist the all tasks in a tree view, but also create mind maps to export as XML.

Comes with a lightweight set of features

Before you can see what the application is all about, or even go through the setup process, it’s a good idea to make sure that your computer is equipped with .NET Framework, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality. On the other hand, it comes as a default feature with modern Windows iterations, so chances are it’s already on your PC.All the application offers is found in a classic window frame. There’s no trouble accommodating, although it can take a bit of time to figure out how to create items and subitems in the tree list. There are a couple of tabs, one of which is used in the creation process, while the other only delivers a visual representation.

Leaves much to be desired

The main tab is fitted with a dual pane environment. One of the fields needs to be filled in with the parent item, while the other is the subitem. There are also a couple of buttons, depending on how you wish to add new items to the list, which can either be the first or second subcategory.Note, however, that there’s no possibility to remove items from the list once they’re added. This has quite the impact on overall practicality, given the rather awkward edit method. As mentioned, the application only supports XML as the only file for import and export.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Blindmap comes with good intentions, but it can take a little too much time to figure out how to fill up the tree list. The overall design is rather counterintuitive, while available edit operation leave much to be desired.
