Tic-Tac-SightWords is an educational application that enables you to learn or to teach word spelling and pronunciation with the help of a Tic-Tac-Toe game. The software combines learning sight words with the strategy in the grid game, while offering a pleasant and effective educational tool.

Play Tic-Tac-Toe, learn sight words

Sight words are those pieces of text that young readers and not only, are encouraged to memorize using their visual senses. A word that is memorized in this way can be recognized within a large text at a very quick, first sight. This way, a reader can determine what the text is about before even reading it.Additionally, you can easily use it as a learning tool for children and teach them how to read. The game is simple: the software pronounces the word and you need to identify the correct spelling on the Tic-Tac-Toe grid. If you clicked the correct answer, the word turns into an X. The software automatically turns one of the incorrect answers into a 0. Three Xs in a row, column or diagonally means you win the round.

Configure the word lists and game levels

A game level requires a list of at least 5 words in order to be enabled. The software allows you to configure up to nine levels, each with customizable entries. Thus, you can enter any word you wish, with the additional phonetic pronunciation. The text-to-speech built-in function allows the software to be able to turn the graphic representation into a spoken word.You can choose between the available voice templates from Windows: David, Hazel and Zira. Moreover, you can easily import or export sight words from/to special Tic-Tac-SightWords (TTS) format.
