Bird Journal is a sophisticated and useful application designed to offer for both novices and professionals, a way to add, organize and manage information about various bird species and personal wildlife experiences. It features entries viewer, photographs, birds, and custom graphs. It's wrapped in a stylish and accessible layout structured in multiple distinct sections, each providing characteristic functions and panels.

Add information about birds, and generate graphs

When you start the program, you can either choose to create your own database, recommended for experienced bird lovers, or use the sample one, to learn and familiarize yourself with all the options. For making a new journal, a wizard is brought up, to help you get started, and where you have to select what to record, like counts for each sighting, conservation fields, weather conditions, photographs,  as well as spoken language, and local and world taxonomy.If you wish to enter a new record, several important details need to be filled in, such as the date, start and end time, visited country and location, weather, and optional notes. In addition, you can specify the conservation type (area, casual, stationary, travel) along with the local or scientific species name, gender, and count.

Make detailed graphics and backup items

When there are enough entries, you can generate a chart based on various criteria, like yearly and monthly counts, location, breed family, order distribution, and population trend. The "Maps" menu lets you check and filter entered locations and explorations, using a map similar to Google Maps.An item can contain photos (e.g. JPEG, JPG, TIF, PNG, BMP) made when you caught a rare bird. It's possible to import files from CSV, XLS and XLSX documents, and export the current database to eBird and Bird Journal types, as well as backup and restore.
