Media disks are still a common method of storing quantities of data and transferring to other computers, although not practiced as often nowadays. There are multiple dedicated writing tools with which to burn data to CD. However, if you already have a virtual disk with the data set you want to upload on a CD, then DP BurnISO can help you out.

Can be used on the go

Coming in a lightweight package, the application doesn’t take you through an installation process in order to put all of its features at your disposal. This even allows you to carry it around on a USB flash drive, to use on other computers besides your own. Moreover, stability is not affected, because no changes are made to system registry entries.The visual design aims to quickly get you up and running, and it does. The simplicity makes all elements easy to identify, such as the device selection drop-down menu to pick the writer you want to use, or the browse field dedicated to the target file which ends up on the CD, presumably already in the tray.

Can only burn data to CD

As the name might suggest, target files need to be virtual images under formats like ISO, or CUE. Files inside these containers are shown in a list, but you cannot add, or remove any existing items. What you can do is choose to erase existing data on a CD, but this needs to be rewritable to avoid permanent damage.Speed is selected from a dedicated drop-down menu, with an additional option to force buffers to stick to this configuration. The only downside to the whole operation is that you can only write on CD, meaning you’re limited to roughly 700 MB of data.

A few last words

To sum it up, DP BurnISO doesn’t quite manage to live up to expectations, coming with a rather rough design, even in its simplicity. The general set of features limits you from manipulating files to burn. Only a few types of files are supported for import, and the overall process can’t be triggered faster through any means.
