MakeBD : Organize videos into the folders structure required for Blu-ray discs, so that they can be burned easily, with this simple utility
Videos burned to a Blu-ray disc need to be organized in a specific folder structure in order to be readable by Blu-ray players. To perform this task, you can either rely on an application that burns data directly or just create Blu-ray folders that can be written later.MakeBD is a very simple utility that takes your videos and creates the Blu-ray folder structure that you can then burn to a disc using other software. It is easy to use, but it offers a very limited set of features.
Add videos and organize them easily
The user interface has a very simple layout, with the added videos being displayed on the left, and the output settings and menu preview on the right. You can switch between a details and tiles view for the imported files. While you can navigate to your videos in order to add them, it is much easier to just drop them in the list directly. You can sort them later, so you don’t need to worry about adding them in the right order.
Simple-to-use tool that offers very limited functionality
Sadly, MakeBD is a bit too simple for its own good. You can set the disc’s label and select the output location, but you do not have the option of creating a Blu-ray image, as you can only export data to Blu-ray folders. No other output parameters can be customized, and the videos cannot be edited in any way. Also, only a single menu template is available, and it cannot be personalized. Since the preview panel cannot be resized, it is difficult to even tell how everything will look once the menu is created.Overall, MakeBD can certainly prove helpful if you need a simple way to prepare your videos for burning to Blu-ray discs, but it offers such a limited array of features that it cannot be recommended for most users.
