Moon : Software solution that allows you to simulate space missions in 3D and set the spaceship trajectory, it covers all the phases of the mission, from spaceship design, altitude control to trajectory simulation
The Internet offers a whole array of all sort of applications that you could use while at work or at home. One interesting program is Moon. It's a neat software solution that allows you to simulate space missions in 3D. The animation is high quality and the program displays all sort of important information and parameters that you can check out.
Sleek and modern graphical interface
The application sports a modern interface which covers the whole screen, so that you wouldn't get distracted during the simulations. It comes with an extensive help menu that features all the tips and instructions, you might need in order to navigate the program and set parameters. The toolbar is displayed at the top of the screen and you can move it around if you want. It also allows you to remove any sections from the screen, so that you can record the simulation if you want.
Create simulations easily
You can define mini-launchers, you simply need to define the payload mass, number of stages and its performances, like Mass, Dry, Thrust, Delay, Area, Length and Type.It lets you simulate the launch of a satellite into orbit, you can adjust the total Mass until the required orbital speed is reached and adjust angles and altitudes for the minimum energy trajectory until the desired orbital altitude is reached. You'll also have to adjust the delay time between the two last stages until perform a null vertical speed at the burn out.
More features and tools
It allows you to simulate the launch of a lunar rover on the Moon and you can use play and pause buttons. It displays all sort of data, like mass, dry, thrust, as well as information on altitude, gravity, pitch, impulse, orbit and more. It comes with a log of all data recorded during the simulation and you can save snapshots on your computer. All in all, Moon is a very useful application that helps you simulate space missions in 3D and set the spaceship trajectory, it displays all sort of information and you can take snapshots.
