iditia : Create personal or work mind maps to organize tasks, projects, or ideas easily, and customize them with various colors, styles and images
With so many chores and assignments in our hands, it's hard to keep up with all the important activities that need to be completed. Manually making a diagram with all that, takes time and can be lost easily. This is where iditia comes in handy, providing you with several useful options to quickly design such charts, to efficiently organize important projects and tasks, based on their importance.
No installation required and accessible layout
The app comes bundled with all the essential files to run without a setup. It can be dropped an external pen and directly start on any PC. No additional components are needed to run smoothly. It's wrapped in a straightforward and user-friendly interface with the working area occupying most of the space, and with a basic toolbar, that stacks a few quick commands. If you used the tool before, you can open an existing file from the computer in DTA format, or create a new one from scratch. The principal node is set as a default and can't be moved. The only actions you can do to it is change its font type, size, color, and size, along with the background tone, and content.
Rudimentary features and lack of full customization
Unfortunately, you have the option to add children only to left and right. If you want them to have a unique background, it's possible to insert images (e.g. PNG, JPG, BMP) and adjust them. Plus, the editor foreground can also be modified to a custom color. The app lets you export the result to DTA, PDF and MM file formats, and print them out, once finished. Sadly, the provided options are too few, and the fact that you can't move the nodes and children to any position and location makes it much to be desired.
The bottom line
Taking everything into account, iditia is a useful and small program that comes in handy only for those who just want to quickly organize their ideas and activities based their importance, and save them for further use. Since the utility is portable, it doesn't generate entries in the registry.
