The application doesn't take long to install and it comes with lots of nice features at hand. It can simulate chart recorder outputs of experiments on anesthetized animals and pithed animals.It comes with a demo version, so you can check out its features before you decide to buy the full version of this application. It displays a graph at the center of the screen, measuring blood pressure and heart rates.
Perform various procedures
You have the option to perform all sort of procedures and inject the test subject with saline, vasopressin, acetylcholine Br and more substances. You can only inject them with one at a time. Adjust the amount of the drug to be administered in ug/kg and then monitor the results.The graph changes based on what substance you've administered and you can check its evolution during a certain period of time. It has a feature that allows you to set American drug names, change the unit of measurement for dosage and for pressure.
More features and tools
There's the option to zoom in on the chart and check details or load the history file, with information on all the substances that you've administered during the test. When you're done and you've collected all the information that you needed, copy charts or save them on your computer.You also have the option to print charts and adjust some settings to make sure the hardcopy is properly aligned in the page.All in all, CardioLab is a very nice and useful software solution for simulating heart rates and blood pressures after administering certain drugs.
