Moxon Rectangle Generator is a tiny and portable application that can generate and print models for 50-ohm Moxon Rectangle antennas, based on the settings you configure.

Portability advantages

Since installation is not necessary, you can extract the program files to any location on the HDD and just click the .exe to launch Moxon Rectangle Generator. There is also the possibility to save it to a pen drive to directly run it on any workstation with minimum effort. It doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry.

User-friendly interface and options

The GUI is represented by a classical-looking window that doesn't put emphasis on appearance but it's easy to navigate. You can check out the default rectangle drawing in the main panel, specify the size of each side, and choose the measurement unit (feet, inches, meters, millimeters).It's possible to indicate the frequency, wire size, output file format (EZNEC or NEC) and polarization (horizontal or vertical), along with the main lobe (on the x or y axis).The model is quickly generated to file after picking the output file name and saving directory. Alternatively, you can directly print the model without previewing it. There are no other notable options available here.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that Moxon Rectangle Generator didn't freeze, crash or display error messages. It generated models swiftly while remaining light on system resource consumption.To conclude, this software utility comes equipped with the necessary and suffice tools for generating and printing antenna models. On the other hand, it doesn't contain rich features. But we must also keep in mind that it hasn't been updated for a long time.
