The application is quick to install, but it requires Java Runtime Environment. The interface is bleak and simplistic. The main window of the application provides a list with the events only for a specified day, while the monthly view is limited.Events can be added and their occurrences set. However, the application does not provide ample settings and users are going to struggle to find a suitable occurrence. Events cannot be color coded and they cannot be organized by their importance.

Play an audio file on notification

VlukenizerJava can be configured to play a specified audio file when it reminds users of events. Unfortunately, it is limited only to WAV files and it applies to all notifications, which are desktop based. E-mail or SMS notifications are not supported.Another drawback is that the software cannot be set to run on system start. Events can easily be forgotten this way, but, the application displays a notification with all the missed occasion the next time it is opened.

Keep a contact list to remember birthdays

The software is able to store contact information. It also corroborates birthdays with the calendar, so users can remember them. A significant setback is the fact that the data stored by the application cannot be migrated to similar software. It does not import data either, which means users have to add each piece of information manually.To put it briefly, VlukenizerJava is a software application that provides a limited number of features. Its interface does not make it appealing to users. The data cannot be imported or exported and this severely limits its functionality. The fact that this application is free does not make it more enticing.
