Plot3d is a lightweight program that enables you to create 3D graphical representations based on mathematical functions. It can be easily used by students who study Mathematics, for instance.This is a portable tool, so installing Plot3d is not necessary. In other words, you can place the app on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), store it on any computer and directly run its executable file.Also, the Windows registry is not affected in any way and no leftover items can be found after program removal.The interface of Plot3d is plain and uncomplicated. A graph is automatically displayed on the screen according to a mathematical function. So, all you have to do is define the values of the function (cos and sin), in order to generate its correspondent graph.Customizing the viewing window is possible by specifying minimum and maximum values for the X and Y coordinates, as well as for the grid. Plus, you can enable discontinuous mode.From the "Options" area you can clear the function list and customize the style for the interface (wire-frame, smooth, points) and axes (bounding box, origin, labels). Additionally, you can disable the toolbar and save results as a Plot3d file or Bitmap image.The simple-to-use program needs a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive and includes user documentation. Plot3d did not cause us any difficulties throughout our testing; the app did not freeze, crash or display error dialogs. However, its interface could use some improvements from the visual point of view. But we must keep in mind that Plot3d has not been updated recently.
