ScanRn is a simple to use tool that enables you to save currently scanned images on your computer.It’s a basic application that displays a user-friendly interface which makes it easy to use by most people.The utility enables you to trigger a scan from a connected device and displays it in a preview window. While in preview, you can choose to display the scan in black and white or in full color. The option you leave on determines whether the image is saved in color or black and white.If you’re interested in grabbing just a portion of the scanned document or image, the application enables you to use your mouse and create a selection around the section of the scan that you want to extract. Once your have your selection the application displays it in a separate, floating window. From here you can rotate the image to left or right and save it as a single image. All the selected targets along with the saved pictures are displayed in lists found in the main window.ScanRn also provides you with remote scanning features by using the ScanRnServer which is installed along with ScanRnServer. With ScanRnServer you are able to share your scanner across your network and so can other people. This way, you are able to scan documents without having to leave your PC or troubling a co-worker. You can set the server to start once your log in to your Windows account.In case you need to extract multiple sections from the same scan but save them in different locations, ScanRn allows you to do just that. It enables you to set a different destination folder for each of the selections straight from the main window.In closing, ScanRn can be a practical application if you need to scan and save documents on your computer. But don’t expect too much from it as it only provides you with basic features.
