REDOX : A program designed for evaluating redox reactions, predict oxidation and evaluate reduction reactions in aqueous systems, adjust settings to meet your preferences
The Internet is filled with all sort of software solutions designed for various professions and hobbies. One of such applications is REDOX. It's a great software solution that lets you perform chemical analysis and evaluate redox reactions. You can predict the oxidation and evaluate reduction reactions in aqueous systems. It's packed with many nice features and tools that you can check out.
Sleek graphical interface with plenty of tools
The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It's packed with lots of nice features and tools that you can check out, neatly arranged in an intuitive graphical interface. The layout is divided into lots of nice sections, you can browse the list of oxidants and pick the ones that you need.
Perform reduction reactions
You can check out the list of oxidants, it includes all sort of formulas and substances that you can choose from. Click on one to get the volts charge and to add it to the reaction. The next step is to choose a reductant from the list, the application also displays the volt charge. It comes with a search bar that lets you search for oxidising and reducing species containing a certain element. You can also sort the oxidants and reductants list according to name and potential.
More features and tools
It comes with the option to check out a tutorial with multiple instructions on how to perform reductions on chemical substances. When you're done simply click on the evaluate button to launch the process and to evaluate the reactions. It comes with the option to adjust acidic and alcaline conditions. You can remove selected halfreactions or alien species. Results can be exported in a text document on your computer. All in all, REDOX is a very nice application that you could use in order to perform redox reactions, predict oxidation and evaluate reduction reactions in aqueous systems.
