A closer look at MSOComprex
MSOComprex is a lightweight piece of software that enables you to reduce the size of files created with Word, PowerPoint or Excel. The idea behind the tool is to provide you with a simple way to remove images from the aforementioned documents.There are times when deleting the images is not an option. In this case you should bear in mind that you can resize the pictures so that the output file is smaller. It is important to note that you can restore all original pictures after you edited the text content, providing that you do not alter the images or the layout of the page in any way.The application does not come with extensive documentation, but you do have a readme file where you can learn more about how you can get started. To put it simply, if you want to remove all images from a document, you need to drag and drop the desired file over the MSOCOmprex.bat. You should be able to get a new file that features a _CPX suffix and inside, all images should be replaced by a green cross icon.As you probably hinted, reversing the process entails you use the file with the _CPX suffix over the same BAT file. The new file should include all images and be renamed to _CPX_RESTORED.
