Personal Dictionary is a lightweight desktop software tool that gives you the possibility to compare two TXT files and analyze the words that are different with as little effort as possible.

Not too complicated to handle

It is packed in a simple, clean and straightforward interface. The intuitive settings make sure that there are no accommodation issues to any kind of users, even those less familiarized with this type of software.Basically, all you need to do is import the TXT items (database and pattern files) that you wish to compare using the built-in browse button and the application will do the rest for you. The identified words are listed at the bottom of the main window. You can open the added files directly from the program's interface.

Main functionality

Once listed, you can choose different selection actions, such as selecting or deselecting items by checking their boxes, automatically selecting or deselecting all with one click of the mouse, as well as inversing your current selection.Unfortunately, Personal Dictionary enables you to only edit the identified words. Features such as copying to clipboard, replacing or deleting words are not available. On the other hand, after you are done selecting and editing the words, you can add and save them into the database file. The added words are all in lowercase, since the application ignores the case of the identified words.

Evaluation and conclusion

No errors showed up throughout the entire process. Thanks to the fact that it didn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, the overall performance of the computer was not affected.Taking all things into consideration, Personal Dictionary proves to be a fast and useful tool that enables you to quickly detect and analyze different words between two TXT files, as well as edit the identified words.
