In depth
A closer look at Lime OCR
Lime OCR is a Windows software application whose purpose is to help you extract text from scanned images and save it to plain text file format. The utility makes use of Tesseract, an open-source OCR engine. The GUI looks easy to work with. All configuration settings are embedded into a single panel, so there’s nothing hidden under its hood. A help manual is not included in the package, which means you need to experiment with the built-in features in order to understand how it works. The utility comes with support for various image formats, such as ARW, DCR, GIF, ICO, JPEG, PNG, PS, RAD, SGI, TGA, TIFF, SVG, SUN, PCD, NEF, ART, and DCX.
