In depth
A closer look at TypePage
Text editing is a pretty common operation on a computer, be it for plain conversations, or taking notes. Large documents require some sort of specialized editors, and Windows provides a couple of default tools in this regard. However, there are also various alternatives like TypePage which help edit and create rich text files. On the one hand, the application saves you the effort of going through a setup process, which makes it just right to fit on a thumb drive so you can carry it around to have your personal text editor wherever you go. What’s more, there’s no need to worry that the health status of the target PC gets affected because registry entries remain intact during the entire operation. The visual design is minimalistic, allowing individuals of all levels of experience to quickly get the hang of things. Most of the space is reserved to text editing, with an upper toolbar to quickly access different functions, but there’s no status bar to display any document information such as character or word count.
