A closer look at fs
Searching for a particular plain-text data set can get quite tiring at some point, especially if you have plenty of files to search for. With the help of fs, this can be done much easier. The program allows you to search for a string within all your files. The application runs using Command Line parameters and it allows you to search for the occurrence of certain text strings within your files. This way, you can scan all your files without having to open them. Whenever the required string is found, you are displayed with its row position and file path, so that you can easily locate it. fs works in a similar way with the ‘grep’ function, only that it can be easily used by anyone, even if they do not have any experience with UNIX or CLI commands.
