Character Position is a lightweight plugin made to help Notepad++ users learn the current position of the mouse cursor while working in text documents. You can use it to count all characters within a text document (including whitespace), from the beginning to the pointer's current position. It's quite easy to get the extension up and running, since there is no actual installation involved and it doesn't depend on other software.
