In depth
A closer look at Contacts
Even though your mobile phone can now hold all your contacts, and even synchronize them across different services, it doesn’t mean a computer can’t come in handy for storing related details. For instance, Contacts lets you create a database of individuals, and different info fields, and export them as vCards. On the visual side of things, the application keeps it simple in an attempt to make it easy for individuals of all levels of experience to get the hang of it. A side navigation panel is used to quickly view all items in your database, while the rest of the space shows all related details, and is also the place where you write them down. In case you already have existing contacts saved on your computer under the form of vCard VCF file formats, you can easily import them to skip some time off the creation process. If not, there aren’t many detail fields to fill in, so effort required is minimum, especially only the name field is mandatory.
