In depth
A closer look at PixRenamer
If you’re using more than your mobile phone camera to take pictures, you most likely end up organizing them on the computer, for easier selection when they need to be processed. In case you want to thoroughly sort them, applications like PixRenamer let you make custom renaming rules, in a quick and easy process. Everything happens in one main window, with all features wrapped around a classic frame which makes things easy to identify and get acquainted with. Three panels make navigation easier, one letting you browse through folders, while the second enlists all files, and a preview generated in the last. The rest of the space is where rules are created. The application can only work with pictures, with support that lets you load BMP, JPEG, GIF, and several more. Adding them is not done through conventional ways, like drag and drop or using any browse dialogs, since there’s a dedicated navigation pane built-in to pint out the target folder.
