Window On Top - An application designed to add the always-on-top functionality to any program installed on your computer using the drag-and-drop feature or shortcut keys
Window On Top is a compact and practical software utility that can be configured to make any open window stay on top of others by just activating a keyboard shortcut. It runs in the system tray and doesn't show any balloon messages, so it doesn't interrupt you when playing, studying or working on the computer.
Doesn't require installation
The downloaded pack comprises just one executable file. It can be saved to a preferred folder on the hard disk or dropped to a USB flash drive to quickly launch Window On Top on any PC without installation. It doesn't require DLLs or anything else to properly function, create items on the machine without asking for permission, or tinker with the system registry configuration.
Make any window stay on top of others
Once you fire it up, the tool creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area, although it doesn't indicate this using audio alerts or messages. From this point on, you can trigger the Ctrl+T key combination for any window in focus to place it on top of any other panels. This works even if the corresponding application was launched prior to Window On Top. However, you should keep in mind that the hotkey overwrites any existing command you have set up (e.g. opening a new tab in the web browser), but the original control is auto-restored after quitting the program.Unfortunately, it's not possible to swap the keyboard shortcut for another one. On the other hand, you can suspend the hotkey or pause the script from the tray icon's right-click menu.
Easy to use for controlling windows
Although it doesn't have resourceful features, Window On Top offers a straightforward solution for placing any window on top of the others with the help of a key combination. It used minimum RAM and CPU in our tests.
