Gene The tool can be applied to a variety of tasks, from common Polymerase Chain Reaction in silico designs to Amino-translations and identical sequences analysis. The application is also able to compute and highlight pair alignment similarities, using either Hirschberg or Smith-Waterman algorithms. Source information can be loaded from most types of dedicated data containers, including FASTA documents, Genbank repositories or Raw sequence files. Alternatively, one can query the NCBI nucleotide or protein Genbank databases for specific samples. Other supported online search engines are PDB, UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot, UniProtKB/TrEMBL, and DAS servers.
