Portable PlainEdit is an intuitive ASCII and ANSI text editor that comes in handy to those who want to view and apply further modifications to HTML, CSS or JavaScript documents. It features a rich selection of text conversions, syntax highlighting (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, C++) and a special character map. As the name suggests, the app doesn't require any prior setup in order to run, can be carried on a thumb drive and started on any computer. Right from the start, the tool asks if you want the portable version or create a temporary folder to a location on the PC. The interface is clean and well-organized, with the most useful functions in a simple toolbar. Portable PlainEdit can handle more than one opened files making it easier to view multiple documents at the same and import content from one to another.
