My Music Recognition uses a powerful audio recognition engine in order to help you get the name of the song you are listening to. It can capture sound from radio streams, the installed music player, the web browser or any other source and display the name of the song in just a few moments. The application runs silently in the background, without requiring any user interaction. However, you do have to create an account on the Echo Nest and enter the generated API key to make it work. Its options are accessible via the right-click context menu in the system tray, where you can constantly monitor its activity. The menu also enables you to access the complete list of the songs captured so far, displayed either in a simple table or in a text file.
