The CINMIDI application was designed to be a command-line program that displays MIDI messages to the computer screen as they enter from an external MIDI instrument. The binary MIDI input bytes are converted to their ASCII numeric equivalents when displaying on the screen. Cinmidi stands for "Console MIDI INput".
