In depth
A closer look at Diary
Having to keep your thoughts together can be tricky by the end of the day, especially with a busy schedule. However, if you have to work on a computer most of your time, then specialized applications like Diary can help you keep all notes in an organized environment secured with a password so nobody snoops through your ideas. Every time the application is launched you’re prompted by a login screen which asks for a username and password. One can be created on the spot, and is thus possible for multiple individuals to use the same application on the same account without interfering or snooping through one another’s data. The edit area represents most of the space, with an upper toolbar for some basic operations, as well as a calendar accessible from the lower side of the main window. Saving notes is done at the press of a button, but even if you access the source TXT file, text inside it is obfuscated to prevent others from accidentally stumbling upon your entries.
