allows you to store, display, and print family trees containing up to 32,000 individuals.
The program lets you store specific details of a family or person together with the details of up to 32,000 individuals and how they relate to each other.
WinGenea displays these individuals' relationships as a standard dropline chart, enabling you to draw three different versions of the chart for each data file and easily switch between them.
You can enter names, dates, places, and sources for each individual (up to 32,000 characters), and attach a BMP image file.
You can also easily drag and drop individuals within the chart. If a given person happens to be married, their partner is automatically moved as well.
The program provides a starting point for organizing the chart, arranging it according to direct lineages based on a selected person. Remaining persons are added to a toolbar list from where you can drag and drop them onto the chart.
WinGenea allows you to open GEDCOM files produced by other genealogy applications, and convert the data to WinGenea format. Similarly, you can save the currently open WinGenea file in GEDCOM or CSV format, enabling the data to be read into a database or spreadsheet.
In addition, you can print family, group, and individual details, as well as indexes of all individuals, a timeline of events, an Ahnentafel report for any given individual, and a calendar of births and marriages.
