aTunes is a feature rich, open source audio player and manager, which also comes with ripping and encoding tools. You can use aTunes to play many of the most popular audio formats, organize your music collection, edit tags and listen to online radio stations. aTunes also allows you to rip music from CDs, making it a good option if are looking for an alternative to iTunes, Amarok, Clementine or foobar2000. It is easy to navigate through all of your songs by tag information or by folder but you can also mark songs, albums and artists as favourites, which then allows you to see them through a special view. The program features filters too, which you can apply if you want a quicker file search.aTunes is compatible with both MP3 and OGG formats and can read ID3v1, ID3v1.1 and ID3v2 tags. The CD ripper tool uses cdda2wav, lame and oggenc.
